The Hewlett-Packard LaserJet 5P (above, between the scanner and left of the monitor) is one of the most cost effective printers ever made.
We beat them to death on the LAN at the Defense Contract Managment Agency, where I work, more than a ream of paper a day, and they have almost no problems.
To produce copier ready originals for MaMaTs genealogy hobby there is no better printer.


The Epson Stylus Color 800 (above, right of the monitor, behind the Linux box and the resident consultant) is still more of a toy than a tool. But it makes very good substitute photographs from the digital camera and copies photos reasonable well from the scanner.
